Terms of service
WhoIsThisFace is a verification tool. Use it to protect yourself — not to harm other people.
What WhoIsThisFace is
WhoIsThisFace lets you upload a photo and find public web pages where a similar face appears. Results are links to third-party websites; we do not host the underlying photos.
Permitted use
- Searching for your own face to see where your photos appear.
- Vetting someone you have a legitimate reason to check — verifying a dating profile, checking a buyer or seller, confirming an online identity before you meet or send money.
Prohibited use
You may not use WhoIsThisFace to:
- Stalk, harass, intimidate, or dox anyone.
- Identify or track a private individual with malicious intent — including trying to unmask someone who is anonymous.
- Discriminate in employment, housing, credit, insurance, or any similar decision.
- Conduct surveillance or identification on behalf of law enforcement, government agencies, or anyone acting for them.
- Scrape, resell, or bulk-export our results.
We can refuse service and block searches for anyone who breaks these rules.
Results are clues, not proof
Face matching is probabilistic. A result means "this public photo looks similar" — not "this is definitely the same person." Matches can be wrong, pages change, and photos get reposted by people other than their subject. We give no guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or availability. Never confront, accuse, or make a serious decision about someone based only on a match — verify independently first.
Payments
Unlocking full results is a one-time purchase per search. Because the results are delivered immediately, unlocked searches are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
Removals
Anyone can ask for their face or data to be removed from our results via the removal form, and copyright owners can file DMCA notices. We honor valid requests within 72 hours. See our privacy policy for details.
Liability
The service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for decisions you make based on results, for content on third-party sites we link to, or for indirect or consequential damages.
Changes
If we change these terms we will update this page. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
